PICK OF THE WEEK

SECRET INVASION: RUNAWAYS/YOUNG AVENGERS #3
This barely won out. Pretty light week as far as good stories go. This was the best part of Secret Invasion and it’s over…oh well. I really like the Young Avengers and was starting to get into The Runaways until the Joss Whedon run.

LONE RANGER #13
I’m on record saying I hate horses and westerns…but some get through the wall. The movie ‘THE PROPOSITION’ and the ‘LONE RANGER’ and ‘JONAH HEX’ comics. This issue took forever to come out, but it was worth the wait. This just left me wanting more and more.
HONORABLE MENTION OF THE WEEK

TRINITY #15
This book has seen a severe up swing in quality since this last bit of the storyline started. I loved the Trinity going after the bad guys, so good.
The ‘WHY AM I STILL READING THIS?’ of the week

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #571
This is getting to be a habit. I’m just going to say that this storyline keeps sliding down hill. I hate Menace and it’s pretty obvious who he is. The fact that they ruined one of the best villain/hero dynamic makes me sick. Norman Osborn knowing Spider-man is Peter Parker makes that dynamic…without it they’re beef doesn’t hold the same weight and makes it pretty stupid. Nice job, in one fell swoop Marvel’s ruined their best story ever(Norman finding out about Peter and making his life miserable). Spider-man’s like Jenga…one bad move and you can destroy everything.

FINAL CRISIS:REVELATIONS #2
I liked Rene Montoya in ‘52′ and like the idea her dead partner is THE SPECTRE, but the arts really ugly and makes this book barely readable. Plus I didn’t like the Crime Bible mini-series this spins out of. Pretty boring, but THE SPECTRE/CRISPUS ALLEN story is awesome.
