Not Your Usual Review Site

It’s safe to say that while MARVEL STUDIOS is doing pretty good work with their live action movies, they’ve never really brought that kind of quality to the animated ones(except The Ultimates 1st movie). On the other DC is destroying the competition with their animated offerings(BATMAN:GOTHAM KNIGHT not withstanding). Now with SUPERMAN and BATMAN and the whole DC UNIVERSE(circa the 40’s) getting the animated treatment, it’s time for WONDER WOMAN to get her shot. I’m excited because I’ve always liked her, although I waiver time to time with her solo series. I’ve heard some people not digging the way she looks(it’s not just you JOE) but I don’t see it. I like the way she looks because they’re actually giving her a recognizable face and not the two nostril slits that she’s had on her plain jane face during the TIMMIVERSE(the coined term for the Bruce Timm helmed DC animated series) years. Here’s the synopsis for the movie:

Wonder Woman begins on the mystical island of Themyscira, where a proud and fierce warrior race of Amazons resides. They have raised Princess Diana, a daughter of stunning beauty, extraordinary strength and incredible fighting prowess. Diana possesses a host of super human powers granted to her by the gods and goddesses of Olympus and her strength and stamina are unparalleled. When Air Force fighter pilot Steve Trevor crash lands on the island, the rebellious and headstrong Diana defies Amazonian law by accompanying Trevor back to civilization. Meanwhile, Ares (the God of War) has escaped his imprisonment at the hands of the Amazons and has decided to exact his revenge by starting a world war that will destroy them all. It is up to Princess Diana to save her people and the world by using her gifts to become the ultimate Wonder Woman.
